    This treaty ended the French and Indian war and lead to a time of British dominance.This treaty lead to the taxation of the colonists and the resentment of the British.

    The proclmation closed off the frontier of colonial expantion. The purpose of the proclamation was to organize Great Britain's new North American empire and to stabilize relations with Native North Americans through regulation of trade, settlement, and land purchases on the western frontier. The colonists resented the british for trying to contain the space in which they could settle. This was the initial sign that the british empire cared for the united states again.
