This was a statement by the Continenta Congress that announced the thirteen colonies and declared their independence from Britain. -

Hessians are German soldiers who fought for the British in the revolutionary war.Many left and joned the Americans. -
Townshend Acts
These acts were trying to defray imperial expenses on the colonists. They included taxes on glass, lead, paints, paper, and tea. This was to help pay for debt caused by the war. -
Boston Massacre
This was a killing of 5 colonists by British regulars. This happened beacsue of taxes imposed by the Townshend Acts to pay for the war. -
Boston Tea Party
Colonists were unhappy about taxes put on the tea and other goods by the British. The British put these taxes on to pay off debt. The colonists dressed as Indians and thre the tea into the Boston Harbor. -

This was a group of American patriots/colonists that originated in the North American British colonies. The groups goal was to protect the rights of the colonists. They were the cause of the Boston Tea Party. -

These battles kicked off the Revolutionary War. The colonists and the British were involved. Pual Revere sound the alwarm that British were coming to make an attack. -
