    Many people fell out of love for Rap and Hip/Hop after the murders of Tupac and Biggie. Most people related everything Hip-Hop as just bad news. Many artists dug down into gangster rap and stayed there. Others like Kendrick Lamar chose a different path. He won the Pulitzer Prize with his album in 2017 "DAMN" Which made him the first MC to win this award that wasn't from the Jazz or Classical music genres. Which brought light back to the hip-hop scene.
