Medicine
Medicine was a huge advancement that saved millions of lives. When Robert Hooke first discovered the cell in 1665 people first started to understand the human body and could then make medicines and vaccines. Also healthcare systems got a lot better and medicine and doctors became a lot more available to the every day person. Not only did medicine drive down the worlds death rate by helping elderly people but it also drove down the worlds infant mortality rate by helping sick babies. -
Cleanliness
Cleanliness affected the population greatly because people use to be very unsanitary and this could cause disease and infection which could kill people. This advancement mostly effected people that worked in agriculture, because people on farms used to get cut by machines that where rusty then would get infected. Another advancement that humans made was flushing toilets which would keep waist out of peoples way. Overall these advancements drove the worlds death rate way down. -
Vaccine
The first vaccine helped people around the globe hugely, for these reasons, before the first vaccine was invented people would get sick but there was not very much medicine and the doctors where not the smartened at the time so they would usually die, but once the first vaccine was invented people would not have to suffer the side effects of painful sicknesses because the vaccine would block the virus before it could do any damage. This drove up the birth rate and down the death rate. -
Agriculture
Agriculture was the biggest part of the population growth because before there was machines that helped people with farming everybody was a farmer unless you were very rich and you did not have to work. But now that there was machines one person could provide for a whole town and not just there family. Also more people could farm more and could make more money -
Clothing
Clothing was a big part of the population growth, because warm clothing allowed people to go outside and work for longer periods of time in the winter. better food and farming piggybacked off of the clothing revolution because warm clothing allowed people to work and get crops ready in the winter and fall. Warm clothing also sometimes kept people from getting colds and sickness which at that time could even lead to death, The clothes then drove down the death rate and drove up the population. -
Shelter
Shelter was a huge part of the population increase for these reasons. First heating and better shelter made it possible for people to live in more in more extreme parts of the world including the most northern part of the arctic all the way to the hottest parts of the Sahara desert. Because of these reasons the earths carrying capacity has gone through the roof and now people can live anywhere they want around the world. -
Plane
Planes helped people live and way more remote places around the world because they could fly planes which would take way less time then it would take to drive in a boat. Along with heating and better shelter people where able to live in more remote places. -
Healthcare
Healthcare helped the earth population go up by a lot because doctors where a lot easier to get to and they where getting a lot smarter at this time also in Canada healthcare became free so that even if you are poor you can get good healthcare
