There were many famous magicians in this time period we still know of today. Included Little Richard, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Hank Williams. The biggest artist of this time period however was The King of Rock and Roll Elvis Presley.

Contemporary R&B and urban music in general remained extremely popular throughout the decade; Also heard were styles such as soul, funk and jazz.

    Eminem is considered the biggest hip hop act of the 2000s, and was the best-selling overall music artist.
    In late 2005, the Southern hip hop reached the peak of its popularity.

    By the end of the decade Hip Hop also grew successful.

    Christian music saw a rise in success during the early 2010s, with several artists debuting within the top 5 on the Billboard 200.

    What will music be in the future? I think the way we listen to music has changed over time. Now instead of buying a CD at a store you are able to purchase whatever genre of music on your phone, and you will find most cars are taking away CD players and providing you with an AUX plug for your phone. With technology rising the music industry will have to adapt to the growth. Artists and record labels will need to come up with different ways to sell their music.
