The major innovation
Louis Daguerre's invention reduces the time of exposure length dramatically. Louis made this by applying mercury fumes to the exposed silver plate thus reducing the lengthy exposure. -
Mr Frederick Scott Archer
In 1850 Mr Frederick Scott Archer created a new printing method called collodion process. The process involved adding iodide to a solution of collodion, then coating a glass plate with the mixture of collodion and iodide, this now created a photosensitive silver compound. -
