My Birthday
On this date the G.O.A.T was born along with his stud muffin twin brother, Drew Zaun. I was born one minute earlier than him. In my early years I learned how to say "Ahaaaa" as every response. I also developed a curly afro, which I grew out until I was two and a half years old until I got a haircut. At this point I was able to walk around and was well potty trained. -
We start camping
During this summer we found a group of friends that we wanted to go to the lake with. We just bought a camper and were very excited for this experience. We had a very good experience and to this day we still go camping with the same friends. Going camping is one of my favorite things to do during the summer. It is a great way to relax and have fun with friends. -
NFL Football Game
We were in Minneapolis on a vacation when my parents surprised Drew and I with tickets to the Minnesota Vikings game agains the Arizona Cardinals as an early birthday present. We were able to watch Percy Harvin return the first kickoff of the game for a touchdown, which eventually got called back. We also saw Adrian Peterson dominate in which would be an MVP season. The Vikings got the win. This is something I will never forget because I got to see how professional sporting events work. -
Disney World
We went to Disney World with my mom's side of the family for an "A-Z Vacation." The first day we went to the Animal Kingdom and got a tour of cool animals and went on scary rollercoasters. My favorite thing about the trip was going to Universal Kingdom for a day. I went the "hulk coaster," a 60 mph rollercoaster, 5 times in a row. I got really dizzy after doing this but I didn't throw up. We also got to take pictures with some Disney characters that I've watched on disney channel as a child. -
Washington D.C.
Me, Drew, and my grandma went to Washington D.C. together to see awesome monuments and political figures. On this trip we went on a private tour of the capital building, which was really cool. We then went to see Abraham Lincoln's monument and the reflecting pool. We also went to the Air and Space museum and learned some neat things about space travel. When we were there we also went to a huge McDonald's. This trip was a lot of fun and hopefully I can go back there again sometime. -
Wisconsin Dells
It was my parents' anniversary so we decided to go to Wisconsin Dells for a family vacation. We stayed at Kalihari Resort which included great food, awesome bedrooms, and two nice waterparks (an indoor and an outdoor one). We spent most of our time in the indoor waterpark because of the rain. There were many cool slides and a wake pool with 10 foot wakes. This was my favorite family vacation we've ever done and hopefully we can do it again soon. -
I Shoot My First Deer
I have been preparing for this night for a long time by shooting my bow in the backyard with my dad. On this night we went out to hunt for a buck we have been seeing on trail cameras all summer and fall. It wasn't until the last 10 minutes of shooting light when he came out of the brush. Once he got close enough I pulled back my bow and shot an arrow right through it. It wasn't until the next morning when we found it. This was the best experience of my life. -
Trip to Mexico
My family and I went to visit Mexico after our last 8th grade basketball game. It was very hot down there and we had lots of awesome experiences. I got to see my first ocean coastline and got to swim in the Ocean. We also went zip lining in the mountains. This included 13 zip lines with different distances on each one and incredible views of the landscape of Mexico. I also went parasailing on our last day there. We all got badly sunburnt, which kind of ruined the fun. -
First Car
I just came home from our basketball practice when our parents called us into the garage for a surprise. Me and Drew were very surprised and excited when we found out we got a car. This was big for us because we didn't have to worry about getting rides from other people anymore to certain events. We still drive the same car now, but hopefully we can be surprised again because our car is getting kind of old now. -
First AAU tournament
Drew and I are on ND Attack for AAU basketball this spring and summer. We just finished up our first tournament at the Grand Am in grand forks. We lost the first game, but ended up winning the second game to finish the first night. The next morning we played at 11 and won against a team from Winnipeg. We then played at 1, but we ended up losing. We didn't place, but we are really getting to know our teammates and will have lots of fun playing over the summer.
