Personal timeline

  • The day I was born

I was born in Bakersfield, California and weighed 7 pounds and 9 ounces. This date is also the day my uncle came back from the army after being there for 2 years. From this day on, my uncle would stay home and would grow to be a current important figure in my life. And obviously, this day would be only the beginning for many other beginnings.
  • My first ever day of school

My first day of kindergarten was at Loudon Elementary School in Bakersfield, California. I still remember making my first school friend ever during recess and remaining friends with her all throughout elementary. The Loudon atmosphere led me to become the person I am today by offering me new experiences.
  • My dogs

    My dogs
My family got our Mastiff, Konan when he was a puppy around the time I started kindergarten. A few months after that, we saw a free puppies sign and got our next dog, Khloe, who is an Australian Shepard mixed with a Labrador. Many people find Konan intimidating due to his size, but he is really just a gentle giant.
  • Birth of my little sister

    Birth of my little sister
My baby sister was born when I was in 2nd grade, she is my third sibling out of two older siblings who are in college. She’s super hyperactive and loves to run around everywhere, although she also loves to sit down and do nothing when chores need to be done. She’s annoying as well, but I wouldn’t change her a thing about her. She’s taught me how to be so much more patient and responsible, and I don’t say it but I do thank God for her.
  • Meeting my bestfriend

    Meeting my bestfriend
I met my now bestfriend by accident in either 3rd or 4th grade, she didn’t like me and I didn’t like her for some reason. But then our mutual friend somehow got us to hang out once, and ever since then we’ve been inseperable. She’s made a huge impact on my life so far and without her I would have turned out as a different person. I’m so excited to continue my high school and hopefully post-high school years with her!
  • The day my grandpa died

My grandpa came to visit this day and left to go to Walmart to pick up some bird food. My mom got a call a few hours later from the heart hospital, saying that my grandpa had been admitted. He had suffered from cardiac arrest in the middle of Walmart and was put on life support for two weeks before they took him off. This has been my only immediate family death and gave me a perspective on what death is and has helped become comfortable with the idea of it. I love and miss him.
  • First day of Jr.High

On the first day of junior high, I left most of my elementary friends by going to Stonecreek Junior High School while they went to Thompson. I had three of my friends come with me to Stonecreek and we were all nervous about not having classes together. But, by the time I left Stonecreek I had made new friends (while staying with my old ones) and experienced new things.
  • Birth of baby cousin

    Birth of baby cousin
I have too many cousins to count on my dad's side of the family, but on my mom's side of the family I had no immediate ones. That was until my uncle got married and had a baby boy with his wife. His name is Manuel Steven Martinez and he is the only baby who's cry does not annoy me. And with more recent news, his wife announced that they are expecting a little girl by January next year.
  • First day at Ridgeview Highschool

    First day at Ridgeview Highschool
On the first day of high school, I met up with all my friends from elementary that went to a different junior high than I did. I was confused and dazed the whole day and was tired from the new atmosphere. It was a fun day overall though. The picture is just the most recent one taken at Ridgeview.
  • End of Freshmen year

By the end of freshmen year, I had reconciled with old friends and stayed with my new friends. I had maintained a 3.8 gpa and a social life. It was a good year.
