The Move
Me and my family move to Bakersfield from Ventura. This was huge. We went from nice, cool, clear weather in the mountains to the heat of the valley. I develop asthma as a result, but I grew out of it, and instead have allergies. So dust, pollen, smoke, you name it. It especially gets bad around springtime when everything's blooming. -
Dogs
My first pets were 2 chihuahuas, Yaya and Bongo(?) as gifts from my great-grandma who rescued them when they were found in a box in the middle of the street. Bongo(?) runs away one year later. -
Kindergarten
My first day of kindergarten in Panama begins. -
New School
My first grade year starts at Miller Elementary -
Another dog
We take in a Labrador from my uncle and name him Max. We took in Max because my cousin was deathly afraid of big dogs. Max still lives in my backyard with Yaya. For a big dog he's really afraid of loud noises, so during the 4th of July and New Years he'll have a panic attack. So on those nights we'll let him inside along with Yaya. We'll stay with Max until he calms down, and then we slowly take him back out and chill there. All of that usually takes a few hours. -
Junior High
My first day at Stonecreek Jr. High starts. Going here really changed who I am as a person. Instead of seeing the same old people for 6 years, I met people from a lot of different schools. They all had different personalities and backgrounds, and overall were different from the people at Miller. And the teachers and the people that I've made friends with there have helped shaped me into the person I am now. -
High School
I start my first day as a freshman at Ridgeview High school.
