In 1958, Feyerabend accepted a position to work at Berkeley after meeting many other influences and believing it to be one of the best institutions of their industry. During this time, may of his early papers were already published, including “An Attempt at a Realistic Interpretation of Experience”. which argued against Positivism. in addition to furthering publications, this time was crucial for Feyerabend as he started full lectures in 1960 where he was studied and later published about. -
Against Method
Against method is one of the Major works written by Paul Feyerabend. The book provoked many reactions and also made for an abundance of criticism within philosophical views of science. He posted or created views saying that there are no methodological rules that every scientist follows, which in turn upset the community. He promoted that science would benefit from a little anarchy or "theoretical anarchism", stating it was more humanitarian by not implementing rules or guidelines on scientists. -

This book is crucial because it lays our that science should be separate than state or supplemented just as church is. He believes it should be separate because science is its own separate ideology, a free society is one where ideologies have equality, and that the use of science in education and medicine violates rights of other traditions. Also saying we should set up a free society as “a society in which all traditions have equal rights and equal access to the centres of power” (SFS, p. 9). -
Farewell to Reason
Farewell to reason was a publication from a collection of Feyerabend's many papers. The main topic and issue proposed in this book is that relativism is the solution to conflicting ways of life and separate conflicting beliefs. This book gave an in-depth view to our culture and incorporated scientific reason. He as well states that western technology and understanding is not as intellectual as people believe which undermined modern ideology. -
