    In 1952 Paul Feyerabend attended the London School of Economics under the supervision of Karl Popper. Feyerabend was greatly influenced by the concept of Falsificationism and Poppers willingness to freely express his mind bluntly without concern about the reaction of his peers.

    In 1957, Feyerabend presented a paper on the Quantum Theory of Measurement at the Colston Research Symposium. In this paper he introduces the idea “ that there is no separate and neutral “observation-language” or “everyday language” against which the theoretical statements of science are tested, but that “the everyday level is part of the theoretical rather then something self-contained and independent”(Preston,2016).
  • Science Without Experience

    Science Without Experience
    In November 1969, Feyerabend published an article for the Journal of Philosophy. In the article Feyerabend asks whether experience can be regarded as a true source and a foundation of knowledge. Feyerabend concludes that it’s conceivable that knowledge can be gained without experience and that it’s an effective way of examining the empirical hypothesis.

    In 1987, Feyerabend published Farewell to Reason. This book was a collection of major papers he published during the mid-1980s. A common theme throughout this book is that relativism is the solution for dealing with conflicting beliefs or ways of life.

    In 2011, The Tyranny of Science was posthumously published. This book contained material from five lectures Feyerabend had given at Berkley. In these lectures he argues against the view that science has all the answers and is the only true measure of what exists.
