Patsy Mink attended school at University of Hawaii, Honolulu, Oahu, then proceeding to go to the University of Chicago for law school in 1951. -
The Beginning
In 2005, Let Me Play, by Karen Blumenthal, is published. This book explains how Mink thought of idea revolving around woman's rights and her personal connection to the topic. There are particular examples including examples such as woman not being able to participate in a game just because they were female. This sparks an idea for Patsy! -

Finally Being Elected Into Congress
Finally, after having trouble finding a job, Mink moved back to Hawaii and was elected into Congress in 1964. She then became the first Asian-American woman to serve in Congress. -

Mink's First Period Representing People of Hawaii
After Mink was elected into Congress, she started representing the people of Hawaii and created ways of firguring out how women and men could have equal rights. -

A Member of the United States House of Representatives
During this time, Mink was fighting for equal rights for woman and men. She felt it was unfair for woman to be treated poorly compared to how men were treated. -
Title IX has been passed through Congress!
Educational Amendments have been passes and woman and men will now be treated equally and fairly. -
Mink Speaking at House Session
During this House Session, Mink speaks out about her thoughts and opionions on Woman's Rights. She is explaining why she thinks it would be more fair and reasonable for women and men to have equal rights in both educational and athletic purposes.
