Went to my baby sitter's house every day after school for 10 years
When I was 1 my parents began sending me to daycare at a lady's house in Carmel, her name was Sandy. Growing up, I went to her house everyday while my parents worked. When I was 5 I started Kindergarten and everyday after school I would go to her house until about 4 or 5pm. I did this all they way up to the end of 5th grade. Sandy became a second mom to me and I have so many good memories of going to Sandy's house and going to her house shaped me into the hard working person I am now.
  • Started racing BMX

    Started racing BMX
When I was young I used to always ride bikes around my house. I would set up plastic ramps in my yard and jump them all summer long and after school. One summer my mom was looking for a camp for me to do and she came across a beginners BMX racing clinic in Torrington Connecticut. I went to the clinic and I met an older rider that helped me get started going around the track. I fell in love with the sport and I have been competing in it ever since.
  • Started working on cars at my dads shop

Started working on cars at my dads shop
When I was younger I always used to go to my dads shop and hang out and mess around. It wasn't until I was about 8 when my dad asked me if I wanted to do my first brake job. I was hesitant to do it because I didn't think I could but he believed that I could and convinced me to do it. He pulled in a car and he walked me through the whole process of doing the front brakes. I completed it and from the on I always would work on cars when I went to his shop. This made me very mechanically inclined.
  • Lived through my house being restored.

Lived through my house being restored.
When I was in 5th grade my family decided that we wanted to make an addition on to our house. They stated doing the construction in the fall of 2012 and we lived in the house for the whole duration of the build. It was very tough because we were limited to 2 rooms and the house was practically gutted. The build lasted until the summer and we had only moved out once for a week because of chemicals in the house and during that time we lived with my grandma. In the end it was worth living through.
  • Started going to Brewster schools

    Started going to Brewster schools
From Kindergarten until 5th grade I attended school at St. James The Apostle In Carmel. My parents made the decision to send me public school for middle school and high school. I started at HH Wells in 6th grade. It was a lot different than catholic school and it took a while to get used to. 6th grade was rough because it was hard to join certain friend groups and middle schoolers are jerks to new kids. Once 7th grade came around I had a decent group of friends and the rest went well.
  • Made it into expert class in BMX

Made it into expert class in BMX
In BMX racing there are three ability levels, novice, intermediate, and expert. To advance from novice to intermediate you have to win 10 races and to get to expert you have to get 25 wins. Every riders dream when they first start racing is to advance on to expert and it usually takes a couple years. For me, I advanced to inter in less than a year however to become expert it took me about 3 years. At a race in Kingston NY I reached this goal and it made me feel very accomplished.
  • Started to rebuild a Volkswagon Rabit pickup

Started to rebuild a Volkswagon Rabit pickup
In the summer of 2017, my dad's friend found a VW rabbit pickup for $300 and he told my dad about it. My dad restored dozens of these in the late 80's and he figured this would be a good project for me and him to work on. I spent about a month in my garage welding and fabricating a new front end for it because of all the rot. One day my friend came over and his dad was looking at it and said "I wouldn't want my kid riding in it". That made my dad realize it was too rotten and he junked it.
  • Built my Toyota Tacoma

    Built my Toyota Tacoma
I got a tacoma for free because it had 315,000 miles on it and was all around beat up. The week after school ended I went to my dads shop and I got a donor truck to pull the motor and tranny out of. I pulled the cabs on both trucks to make the swap easier then I got them both running and we sold the donor truck and I had my truck with low miles. Then I lifted it and put new wheels on it then me and my dad painted it. Now this truck is my daily driver and I love it and I only own it for 6 grand.
  • Learned how to 360 on a bike

Learned how to 360 on a bike
Last July I went to camp Woodward for two weeks. I went for BMX but unfortunately it rained hard all day for both weeks so It was hard for me to ride outside. The indoor parks were all packed but that didn't stop me from wanting to try to learn a new trick. I asked my coach to teach me how to do a 360 and he told me the steps to do it. It took me a while to commit and then it took dozens of tries but by the end of the first week I had landed my first 360 on my dirt jumper.
  • Decided to take AP Physics II

Decided to take AP Physics II
Last year I took physics honors 1, I loved the class and my teacher. At the end of the year we had to choose classes for next year. I originally picked chem but then I decided to take AP Physics 2 because I wanted to have my teacher again and my friend was taking it. September came around and I started out out ok but then got lost in the content. 2nd quarter I practically gave up and received a 65. The class insanely difficult especially for someone in regular math. I'm only good at projects.
  • Got my license

    Got my license
Ever since I was eight I have been anxiously waiting for the day I turned sixteen so I could get my license. Once tenth grade came around, a lot of my friends started getting their licenses and I started getting jealous because I had a late birthday and wouldn't get my permit until the end of the summer. August was here and I finally got my permit. On February 28th I took my drivers test in Newburgh and I finally got it. It has been so nice to be able to drive places whenever I want.
  • Got my Truck stuck on A Snowmobile trail.

Got my Truck stuck on A Snowmobile trail.
Last month my friend Hunter and I were in Vermont. After going to the mountain one day I was like, "you wanna go off roading?" he was like "hell yea." So I found a Snowmobile trail that had a sign "No Automobiles" I was like "I don't care." I started going up the trail doing 35 and then i got sucked into a ditch on the side. We tried to dig it out for an hour and then I just called my dad to tow us out. He showed up and was really angry but we eventually got it out after 2 hours total.
