Napoleon graduated from military school in 1785 at the age of 16 and became a lieutenant in the artillery.At this time the revolution was beginning and he would join the revolutions army. -

In 1795 Napoleon led french troops to fight nobilities who tried to take power. Napoleon would defeat this Nobilities in over just and hour. After this battle Napoleon was given a name and was seen as a hero of france. -

In 1796 Napoleon was appointed to fight forces from austria and the Kingdom of Sardinia.He would in this journey receive lots of victories. He would then be appointed to lead more french armies after having a successful start in fighting and leading battles. -

Napoleon is then sent to Egypt to protect French trade interests and to disrupt British trade with India. Napoleon was beaten by Horatio Nelson by his naval forces in Egypt. However he was able to keep these stories from reaching europe. -
Napoleon returns to France after Egypt
In 1799 the directory lost control of the political situation and the confidence of the French people.When Napoleon returned from egypt he would seize power from the directory. In November 1799 France appointed three consuls and one of them was Napoleon and this was done by overthrowing the directory. -

In 1804 Napoleon was voted by the french people as emperor. He would later name himself consul for life. -

In 1805 Napoleon was beaten in the Battle of Trafalgar. He was beaten by Horatio Nelson by his naval forces. This would stop Napoleon invasion on Britain, since he had no more naval forces. -

Napoleon begins the peninsula campaign against Spain and Portugal. This campaign began because Spain and Portugal still traded with Britain from 1808-1814. -

When Napoleon returns from Russia in 1812 he losses France since he lost 600,000 to 100,000 men. He loses France because the British, the Ottoman, the Swedish , and the portuguese were not dominated by Napoleon's empire. He was beaten specifically by Prussia and Britain who united together to fight Napoleon. -

Russia begins trade with Britain again. Napoleon is mad and in June 24 in winter time Napoleon invaded Russia. Napoleon loses against russia in Dec. 14 1812 because of the winter storms in Russia. -

Napoleon loses the peninsula campaign in 1814 although he conquered Spain and Portugal. He lost the peninsula campaign because pirates ambushed his armies. Also he could not control the lands which he conquered. -

In 1814 Napoleon lands which he controlled were given to the countries who defeated him. In May 30 1814 Napoleon arrived in the Island of Elba. Napoleon was in Elba since he was exiled in that island by the countries which defeated him. -
Napoleon is finally defeated
June 21 1815 Napoleon surrender France. Napoleon was exiled finally and into the Island of Saint Helena. He remained in Saint Helena where he died in May 1821. -

In 1815 Napoleon began his hundred day march in which he marched to France to take power. When Napoleon took power from Paris Austria, Prussia, Russia and the United Kingdom, united together. Napoleon was beaten y 150,000 men which this countries united together. -
Napoleon story lives on
Napoleon died in May 1821 but his legacy continued on. Napoleon ideals and military achievements still lived on and were seen as great in history. Napoleon left his mark on the world and he influenced many political and military movements.
