    Treaty of Versailles. The outcome was officially world war 1 ended and Germany lost and the french army won. This matters because the holocaust would have maybe not started in the first place if Germany won and because world war 1 happened around the same time as the holocaust and was also an important part in history.

    March is when the first one was set up and March 1933 Hitler became a dictator.

    Hitler was the leader of the nazis and murdered a massive amount of people and around 6 million of them were jews. Hitler was a great speaker and good at persuading people into believing him when he spoke. He was elected and gained all power and eliminated all his enemies so they didn't get in the way of his plan.

    Nazis needed to find a way to separate Jews from others so they could discriminate them. If 3 or 4 of their grandparents were Jews they were full blood Jew and if it was 1 or 2 grandparents they were half blood. Once you are not German they want to take away there citizenship.

    Germany set on fire and vandalized Jewish homes, schools and businesses also killed around 100 Jews while doing it. it was very important because many people died and got taken out of there homes and got their things destroyed.

    Nazi leaders approve the final solution or plan exterminate the Jews.
  • Death Camp (1st in 1941)

    First death camp opens at Chelmno in central Poland
    Vans with small gas chambers in the rear are used. Tested a chemical called Zyklon B (perfect method on killing people)

    • Residents smuggled weapons in -Uprising lasted for about a month SS troops arrested and deported residents after the uprising ended

    Prisoners fought back at death camps.. Treblinka In August and, Sobibors in October. After Stealing weapons from guards, prisoners tried to escape. Most were killed but a few dozen made it out and survived the war.

    Allies advanced across Europe and the prisoners that were starving and sick went to the concentration camps. The challenges they may have faced would be not feeling comfortable or not finding food to eat and starving to death. 1945 camps are being free
