This was another educational tool that my parents bought to help me learn colors. A lot of the things that I had as educational tools were toys. -
VCR rewinder
Disney movies were very popular and there were many different one out. The VCR rewinder helped maintain the tape were it would last longer and you wouldn't have tracking problems. When I was real young I did not have to wait as long to rewind my movie to rewatch it over and over. -
Oregon trail
This was a program that helped you type and learn to read. It was a game that was suppose to teach children what it was like to live on the Oregon trail in the 19th century. I used this program in school. -
Speak and spell
When I was younger I was introduced to this machine as a way to help me learn how to spell. It was a popular toy. I use to use it as a way to say inappropriate words! :) -
Sony Discman
This was a big thing for me to have. At the time it was $180. The feature on this particular model had one minute anti-lock skip. For me that was very important. I use to practice on my drum set while using this. I had to keep it on a pillow. Other CD players I had would skip. -
First introduced to a computer
My cousin Brandon set up our family with a computer and internet. Back then phone calls that were out of state were expensive. My cousin was visiting us when he lived in Ohio. There was a small computer program that would allow us to talk on the internet for free. The program was opened and for one of us to end our conversation we had to say, "over". -
Gameboy Color
This was an upgrade from the original Gameboy that I had with a green screen and it was gray. This was still black and white, but it was a lot easier to see than the green screen on the old models. I had a of fun using this. -
External CD Burner
External CD burners were very popular and since I was into music I loved this product. This was also popular when napster was out and you were able to get free music.
