    Exploring the Computer
While in the 3rd grade, I had the opportunity to experience working with the new classroom computer. As a reward for finishing classwork early, my teacher allowed us to play the Oregon Trail game. It was difficult to play, but well worth the time.

Taking My Gaming to the Next Level
As an avid gamer, I am always looking for the next gaming system. On June 11, 2001, I received my first Gameboy Advance gaming system from Nintendo. I was one of the first ones in my school to get one. Talk about being one of the cool kids!

    Sending My First Email
In the 6th grade, I was absent from class due to being sick. One of the assignments I was asked to complete required me to submit a paper to my teacher through email. This was my first time ever sending an email, now I send emails almost every day either for work or just keeping in touch with distant friends and family.

    Music is My Life
I have always had a love of music from a very young age. It's no surprise that when the first generation of iPod Shuffles came out, I was one of the many people who had one. At first it was fun learning how to download songs onto the computer and upload them to my iPod shuffle, but having to shuffle through all my songs to find that certain one was exhausting!

    Technology for Higher Learning
In order to be successful in college, I needed to purchase a laptop. However, since I had to do a lot of walking to get from one class to another, I ended up opting out of getting a laptop and instead, reached for a lightweight tablet- The Surface Pro from Microsoft. Not only is it a tablet, but it also has a touch screen, Microsoft Office, and an attachable keyboard for writing papers on the go. It's amazing to see just how far the computer has come!
