Birth
I was born in Mesa, AZ at Desert Samaritan hospital. I was a month early, so I was immediately placed in the NICU. I was a very sick baby and I had to be placed on heart monitors at home, and I was fed special formula because I wouldn't gain weight. -
Brother is Born
When I was around 4 years old, my mom and dad had my baby brother named Jacob. I was extremely excited to be a big sister, and I thought he was amazing. Of course, as I got older I found him to be annoying, but I wouldn't trade him for the world. He and I have been through a lot together and i'm thankful for him and his silly jokes. -
Parents Divorice
Shortly after my brother was born, my parents decided on a divorce. It wasn't an easy time for any of us, but it was a good thing for the family. We still talked to my father and saw him after the divorce, my brother went on weekends and I visited whenever I wanted. -
Move in with Grandparents
My mother, brother and I moved in with my grandparents due to the divorce. Later on, my mom moved out and got an apartment but I decided to stay with my grandparents. I stayed in the same community and attended school with all the same kids up until high school. I still live with my grandparents today, but I visit my mom very often. -
Got a Laptop
When I turned about 8, my grandpa gave me a laptop. I found that surfing the internet and playing games really helped me escape the real world and the stresses that I had and that were to come. I still find great serenity in the internet because I forget everything else around me. -
Sister is Born
My baby sister Lucy was born when I was 10, and again I was amazed. I became very attached to her and I loved to hold her and take care of her. She can be annoying too, but I love her more than anything. -
Father Passes Away
At around 14, my dad passed away. It wasn't an easy thing to go through but I leaned on my family for support and together we got through it. It's been a couple years now, it's still something that makes you incredibly sad, but i've dealt with it the best to my abilities. -
Mom Remarries
My mom remarried another man when I was almost 15. She moved into a new house and along with the new step-dad, I got two step-siblings as well. I have a lot of fun with them and they are basically some of my closest friends. -
Diagnosed with Fibromyalgia
All my life I've dealt with a thyroid disorder, which makes me have no immune system. Recently, I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia which isn't any easier to deal with either. I find that having these illnesses have made me stronger in a sense, and i'm glad i've caught them before they got worse. -
Transferred to Online School
I transferred to online school due to my illnesses. Having no immune system and attending public school was a bad thing, and I was sick consantly. I'm now able to get my work done, attend appointments, and maintain my health without worrying about getting ill.
