My Life

  • Lost Forever

My family was having a party in a park. I don't remember who the party was for but In the middle of the party I had wandered off and got lost. I wasn't gone for more than 5 minutes and I wasn't more than 100 yards from where we sitting. I had gone to the other side of the building the bathroom was in and couldn't see my Family and I instantly started crying in my head I had lost my family forever. Just a few minutes later my aunt turns the corner and finds me and brings me back to my Mom.
  • First Soccer Practice

    First Soccer Practice
One summer my dad had signed me up for a soccer program at the Brewster Sports Center and although playing soccer was one of my favorite things to do, I was very shy as a kid. I was refusing to go and cried and begged my dad to not make me go. But he made me go, I ended up having a great time. I remember scoring 3 goals in the scrimmage and although the game didn't mean anything at the time I was so happy and told everyone in my family about it and I couldn't wait to go back next week.
  • How I got Stitches

    How I got Stitches
My Mom came into my room and told me we were going to playland for my cousins birthday. She said I had to do my chores before we left. I ran to the dishwasher and started putting the dishes away as fast as I could. As I was holding a stack of plates I tripped and fell over the dishwasher. I remember sitting next to the dishwasher crying and looking down and seeing blood pouring from my shin. As I look to my right I see one of our brand new CutCo knives with blood dripping from it, I threw up.
  • Brazil vs Argentina Soccer Game

It the first professional soccer game I had ever gone to. It was a huge event for my family all my Uncles and cousins were there. We had a huge tailgate party going. We were all eating steak and burgers in the parking lot before we got on the huge line to get into the stadium. Our seats were right behind the goal. I remember watching my favorite player warm up and play for the starting roster for his first time. Even though Brazil lost I still remember enjoying every minute of it.
  • Jointing the Track Team

    Jointing the Track Team
I Started running Track in the 8th grade for the main intention to stay in shape for soccer. When I started racing and the assistant coach who was a volunteer high school runner realized I was pretty good she started pushing me harder. I really started to like running track and seeing my times improve. Joining the team also made me make a lot of new friends going into high school that I would have never met if I didn't join the team.
  • Making the Varsity Soccer Team

    Making the Varsity Soccer Team
Going into High School one of the the things I was most excited for was Soccer tryouts. I knew as a trying out as a freshman it was going to be very hard to make Varsity. I had been training all year ever since the year before I missed that JV tryouts as an 8th grader. There were over 50 players trying out for the team and after a 3 day tryout the coach only took 19 for the varsity team. 10 seniors, 4 Juniors, 4 Sophomores made the team and I was the only Freshman to make the team.
  • First Day of High School

    First Day of High School
I thought High School was this really scary place and as a freshman everyone picks on you. But it wasn't bad at all, but having my sister in the school with me while she was going into her senior year mad it a lot easier. Her and all her friends looked out for me and help me find my classes. Some of the upper class man on the soccer team did mess with me a little but that was only because we had become close friends during preseason. It was a big time in my life and Ive changed alot since then.
  • My First Job

    My First Job
My first job was at Salingers Orchard. My friend had gotten me the job working in the bakery. 8am I began training with my boss. One of the first things we did was make caramel apples. The caramel is cooked at an extremely high temperature. My boss told me we did not use gloves because it made it easier to handle the apples on the stick. As we were dipping the apples in the hot caramel and my boss spilt caramel on my hand. It gave me very bad burns on my hand. I was never called back to work.
  • Doggo

    Doggo
Like every other kid, when I was younger i would beg my parents to get a dog. Having a dog brought a lot of excitement and joy into my house. I remember trying to name him and I wanted to name him Blu but both of my sisters wanted to name him Bailey so I was out numbered. I ended up spending the most time with him because both my sisters went back to college a little while after we got him. I used to take him on runs with me and every night he would sleep in my bed
  • Becoming a Lifeguard

    Becoming a Lifeguard
The day I started my Lifeguard certification course I instantly regret it. The course was physically demanding and strenuous. For someone who is pretty athletic and in pretty good shape it was still hard for me. But in the end I passed and my instructor even complimented me and offered me a job. I did not take the job because she seemed like a nightmare to work for. I ended up working for heritage Management in somers. It was a good experience because I met a lot of interesting people.
  • Becoming Captain of the Soccer team

Becoming Captain of the Soccer team
Going into my senior I knew this last season of my High School career had to be a special one. I decided to step up as a leader and be a real model for the team. I would go to the field everyday during the summer and made an effort to try and get everyone that was going to be on the team to come as well. My effort to try and have the team ready for the season showed the coach I cared a lot about the team and the season so he made me captain.
