On September 11, 2001 four airliners were hijacked by islamist terrorist group al-Qaeda were used to make a horrific attack on American soil. Two of the airliners were intentionally crashed into the World Trade center. One airliner hit the pentagon and the other crashed in a field outside of Washington d.c. when innocent passengers attempted to take control of the plane. The Patriot Act
After the events of 9/11, Bush signed in The Patriot Act. This bill expanded the interaction and cooperation of federal agencies and intelligence agencies to better protect and respond to terrorist attacks. -

Affordable Healthcare Act

This expanded the coverage one can receive and even completely relieve of some healthcare expenses. The Paris Agreement
In 2015, Many countries joined and made a commitment to reducing the carbon-emissions to help slow the track of climate change. This agreement also states that these countries help developing countries in their mitigation efforts. The United States withdrew from this agreement in 2020 and has since rejoined with the inauguration of President Biden. -
Trump becomes President
In November 2016, with Hillary Clinton as the democratic nominee and former business investor Donald Trump as the republican nominee it was a controversial time with both nominees in "scandals" at the time of the election. Covid Pandemic
