    My brother has
    Autism effects more than 3.5 million americans including my brother. I can't remember a time when I didn't know my brother had Autism.When I was younger I always remember him being just a little bit different from others. Overtime my brother has taught me many things and if he didn't have Autism I might have never had learned. Everyday he continues to amaze me with the obstacles he overcomes and has also taught me how to overcome a few myself.
  • Moving to Brewster

    Moving to Brewster
    For about 9 years I lived in White plains, I was with all my friends I grew up with and a majority of my family. On January 10th 2015 my family and I moved to Brewster. I was sad leave my family, friends and the town I grew up in for 9 years. But it was something that had to happen.My parents were able to tie some strings and I was able to finish out my 8th grade year still going to school in White Plains. Time flew by and the end of my the end of my 8th grade year was over.

    Lost
    After being stuck in the house for about 90% of summer. My family and I decided to go out for a change. We went on a bike trail It was fun, we were all together.Later my dad decided to head forward to return the bikes as time was running out. My mom was way behind and my brother and I stayed at the same pace. We were riding our bikes for what it felt like hours. Then I realized there was something wrong. I went back to look for my parents they were nowhere to be found.We were lost.
  • New School

    New School
    Moving schools was the only thing I really dreaded doing. Moving houses was okay but SCHOOLS I just could not do it. The night before the first day had came. All I could do was make up up the worst scenarios in my head, I was not ready. I walked into the school and immedately got lost, right before making it to my first period class. After class 2 girls came up to me and started conversation I was relieved. The day was over. I realized a new school wasn't as bad as I thought.

    One of my biggest fears in life is finding out one of my family members have cancer and when I did I was devastated. Finding out my grandpa had cancer made me realize how short life really is. Taking things for granted and making sure that people feel appreciated has become really important to me because you never really know when you are going to lose someone.
  • Florida

    Florida
    The summer going into my sophmore year my family and I decided to take a trip to Florida. We wanted to visit my aunt,uncle and grandpa. I was so excited, I couldn't even remember a time that I had been on a plane before going to Florida. We finally arrvied and were greeted by aunt and uncle at the airport. Later on that day we went out to eat on the beach. The next day we went to a water park and everywhere else you could think of. I loved Florida so much I'm even considering some schools there.

    Making Honor roll
    School was never really my thing.I did not care and I was doing the bare minimum to get by. After a while that just wasn't good enough. my teachers were constantly calling my parents and telling them about my grades. My parents were pissed and I was grounded. Since that happened, all I wanted to do was to make my parents proud of me. I worked hard the rest of that year and was able to make honor roll I was content and so was my parents.Till this day my certificate is hangs on my fridge.

    I started off the day running to catch my bus.Only to find out later there was a delay due to the weather. All I could wonder was why my parents didnt tell me about the delay like they always do. I went to school, it was an abnormally hard day. As I waiting in the doctors office with my mother she had got a call from my dad, she was trying to reach him all day.My mom bursted into tears and I didnt know why. Then she had told me the news, my aunt had passed away.
  • Getting my teeth pulled

    Getting my teeth pulled
    I went to the orthodontist for the first time. I was excited and I was looking forward to getting braces for a long time.My orthodontist said she saw some crowding and suggested that I get teeth pulled. 2 weeks later I did. I went to my appointment, I was scared. Then they put me on anesthesia and I was out cold . All I can remember is waking up and having no recollection of how I had got to where I was. I proceeded to get up and feel right back down. I was so loopy I had to be escorted out.
  • Finding a job

    Finding a job
    The entire summer I was looking for a job I went to almost every store and applied that was hiring in a 30 mile radius. I had no luck. I even downloaded an app to find jobs. Finally I had my big break a summer camp had emailed me back after looking at my application. Summer was almost done and I wanted to finally be able to buy things for myself. I got in contact with the camp and they told they only charge 3.25 and hour to watch 5-12 year olds. So i didn't take the job.
