    Muhammad died on June 4, 2016, at 74 years of age, in a hospital in Phoenix, Arizona, where he was admitted due to respiratory problems. Ali suffered Parkinson's disease for more than thirty years and had been hospitalized twice in late 2014 and early 2015.
