The Union(N) forces at Ft Sumter in Charleston Harbor were bombarded by the Confederates and surrendereed in 2 days. Yes, the South wins the day. Only one man died at this event. The North gave a gun salute to the flag being withdrawn and the gun blew up. Edmund Ruffian was credited in firing the first shot at the fort.
