    -In pre-industrial age, these rock carvings is a wonderful art & it represents their tradition. In this age, it is very hard to communicate w/ each other. They'll always use rock & wood carvings to save their traditions. We're all lucky to have gadgets today that'll help us communicate and save our files easily.

    Woodblocks Printing Press
    -This image is a technique for printing text, images or patterns used widely throughout East Asia & originating in China in antiquity as a method of printing on textiles and later paper. Ukiyo-e is the best known type of Japanese woodblock art print.
    -They discovered that wood is easy to draw & clearer to read than rock. This can help spread culture because woodblocks are easy to produced as a printing instrument.

    -In ancient Egypt, the wild plant was used for a variety of uses, & specially cultivated papyrus, grown on plantations, was used to make the writing material. The inside of the triangular stalk was cut or peeled into long strips.
    -It seems hard to transfer writing in this type of paper because it's fragile & susceptible to both moisture & excessive dryness but its advantage is it's relatively cheap & easy to produce. It's important back then because it's the only way to import their writings.

    -Clay tablets were used as a writing medium, throughout the Bronze Age and well into the Iron Age. Cuneiform characters were imprinted on a wet clay tablet with a stylus often made of reed. Cuneiform was written onto damp clay tablets, which were then baked until hard.
    - It seems difficult using this kind of medium to import information and documents back in the days. In today's generation people don't need clays to send information or store documents, it's more easier & more faster than before.

    -Developed in the 1830s and 1840s by Samuel Morse and other inventors, the telegraph revolutionized long-distance communication. It worked by transmitting electrical signals over a wire laid between stations.
    -The telegraph was invented to help people to communicate so that people back in the day wouldn't rely too much on mail, it also fasten the transfer of news. Rapid communication served as foundation for the nation’s economic expansion in the 19th century.

    -This is used for transmitting messages w/ the use of codes & uses electric signals over wires from location to location then translating into a message. By improving it, this enables the telegraph for mass communication by using electromagnet.
    -For me, it is a symbol of innovation because innovation is possible as long as you have managed to search for more possibilities. A product can always upgrade in terms of innovative techniques of a person & with the help of its imaginative thinking.

    -This tool helps printing press in mass production. It's beneficial in detailing sentences & sections making it standout among other inventions. It's made out of various keys which begins with QWERTY to avoid from sticking issue & to avoid slow typing.
    -Typewriter is one of the most relevant tool in this age, which helps individuals to distribute reading materials. This is proportionate to the PCs utilized in this age which is likewise useful for me to achieve tasks that are typewritten.

    -It has a large horn-shaped similar to musical instruments being used in an orchestra band. It functions as a recording tool & is usually used in people who's talking, singing, & playing musical instruments.
    -This tool is unique for its presence is very classical & its functionality can't be compared to other tools being used during that time. Recording tools produced a lot of product that cause different innovations in other fields which made me say that this tool is a symbol of development.
  • Beepers / Pager

    Beepers / Pager
    -These are portable mini radio frequency devices that allowed for instant human interaction. Having a beeper back then, draws the attention of many. Pager users eventually develop their own form of shorthand communications.
    -Beepers is a wireless telecommunications device that receives and displays messages or voice. This device is very useful for communicating at this age or period. Up to this day, pagers are still used in many hospitals as a main mode for communication.
  • Walkie-Talkies

    -These are transceivers, means both parties can send & receive radio messages. It suddenly became a valuable military technology in 1939. It has a voice scrambler to prevent eavesdropping, & filter to eliminate battle noises from the transmission.
    -These offers a limited range for it to work well. In the modern day, it's replaced by smartphones & instant messaging apps. It's way more beneficial & convenient than walkie-talkies as it offers unlimited ways to communicate and only requires Wi-Fi.

    Compact Cassette / Cassette Tapes
    -Developed & released by Philips as a new standard of audio storage, allows anyone to make recordings w/o high technical skills. Few years later, Dolby, improved the sound quality of cassette tapes by developing a hiss-reduction technology.
    -This tool paved way for clearer and instant audio recording, wherein it requires a cassette player to play audios, voice recording and etc. It's the traditional version of modern compact discs which can still be seen in different artist albums.
  • Floppy Disks / Diskettes

    Floppy Disks / Diskettes
    -1st portable form of information storage for computers. A disk that can store up to 1.44MB of data. Comprises a disk of flexible, thin medium of storage & is sealed in a square carrier protected by fabric from dust, scratches, & fingerprints.
    -Replaced by Flash Drives, which are smaller in size, but larger capacity of storage. Diskettes had written labels in order for the information stored not to mix up. Flash Drive only requires a computer, to be able to put new folders and organize it.

    -Social networking platforms help develop social capital for students. Social media can be used to develop better perspectives on issues and events. It plays an important on role on student’s life it can make an easier convenient access information to communicate with others.

    -It is a popular wearable technology in today's society. It can track how many flights of stairs you climbed, and how many calories you burned. The band also tracks your sleep and can wake you up by vibrating on your wrist.
    -For me this tool is very useful because we can use this tool for exercise & measure the calories that we burnt. We can use this device as well for waking up and it's useful for me because I always wake up late so if I were to have this device, It can help me wake up early.
  • Smartwatches

    Smartwatches
    -Smartwatches is useful because if you need a watch that is checking heart rates, playing musics, and the likes, smartwatches has those features. You can also use it to call for other people & that's what made it more useful and easy to use.
    -This device is useful some of its features may be similar to smartphones, but it's more handy & convenient. I believe it's more resistant from theft than handling a smartphone, because this is tied in the wrists.
