OBAMA WON (world events)
Barack Hussein Obama was elected the 44th president of the US on the 4th of November 2008 and won the 2012 election on the 6th of November. In 2008 he won with 365 electoral votes to 173 by McCain. Obama won 52.9% of the popular vote to McCain's 45.7% and he also became the first African American to be elected as president.The fact he was the first is important because when younger kids know about this then they can look up to people who have done things differently so they can have role models. -

My journey through primary school. (Year 1 to Year 6) I sometimes miss being in primary and have a hard time digesting the fact that im finally in secondary. -
GETTING GLASSES
I got something thats a large part of my identity, my glasses! Also it was exciting because I could see very well with them. -
SHE GRADUATED
My older sister graduated from secondary at Discovery College. For university she went to Canada at UBC. (University of British Columbia) When she left I was so heart broken as I really love my sister and was so used to her being there. We would argue sometimes but we always loved each other. Since we were so close and she is huge inspiration to me, you could imagine the amount I cried when she left. -
I FRACTURED MY NOSE
I was with my cousin at her house and I was running away from her and I have no clue why, I ended up running into a glass door because I thought it was open...It was not. I ended up going to the doctors and getting an x ray for my nose by a guy called Mr. Rudolph. Due to that experience my nose is now sadly crooked... -
GOOD LUCK AMERICA (world events)
On the 8th of November 2016 the US suffered a poor decision by letting Donald Trump win the 2016 election. He was running against the democratic nominee Hillary Clinton. Even though Trump lost the popular vote by nearly 3 million votes, he won the Electoral College vote, 304 to 227. So can clearly see how fast the US changes their minds about their nominees depending on what they say and do. -
GETTING MY FIRST LAPTOP
I finally bought a laptop for school after waiting for over 6 years. So you can imagine how excited I was. I ended up getting the Mac-book Pro with Touch-bar because it was the latest so if i had any problems they could fix it without charging so much money compared to an old model of computer which they probably do not have the supplies for anymore. -
RIP JONGHYUN (world events)
Jonghyun from a group named SHINEE suicided on the 18th of December 2017.I believe this is important because mental health isn't something to be taken lightly or to be taken as a joke. Keep in mind that he didn't tell anyone about this so all this time he was suffering by himself with barely anyone by his side. Right before his death he messaged his sister "It's been really hard for me until now. Please let me go, tell them I did well, my last goodbye." Which shows how long he was suffering for. -
EXHIBITION
Exhibition is basically our end year exam. We first get gathered into groups of 3/4/5/6 people, I ended up being in a group with 3 other boys, who kinda worked sometimes. We later had to contact a mentor who could do some action about our topic so that could go under the action part of our grade. At the end of all of it we had to decorate a big board will all of our facts, sheets of paper, mentor meetings etc. We also made posters in Chinese and I preformed a song with a band on our topic. -
FIRST DAY OF SECONDARY
The day all primary students get so hyped or scared for. Well to be honest I really enjoyed my first day of secondary. The only thing I thought was funny was that I felt really small compared to the other kids because I am usually one of the tallest people so I felt very different.
