    In 1955, after receiving help from Ray Kroc, a milkshake machine's vendor and producer, the “McDonalds System, Inc” is born -soon after renamed “McDonalds Corporation”-, previously, Kroc had been licensed to open McDonalds restaurants all over the country, giving the McDonald brothers “one half of one percent o gross sales”. Kroc is considered the founding father of McDonald's.

    At december 8 of 1970, McDonald's opens their first restaurant outside North American or U.S.-possessed territories, being the Costa Rica charter the first both in America Latina and the rest of the world (country's nomber 6, 7 and 8 being Australia, Guam and Japan, all of them opening in 1971), leading to the addition of local cuisine to its general menu.

    In 2002, German publicity agency 'Heye & Partner' starts developing the companie's most succesfull ad campaign, 'I'm Lovin It', reaching more than a 100 countries in the world, starting of course, Germany. It is their longest ad campaign until now.
