    Charles was born in 1809 12th February to parents Susanna and Robert Darwin

    at the age of 8 an unfortunate event occured, his mothers death. About 1 year later, he began studying at shrewsburys school for boys and was known as Charley. A few years later, at 13, he built a science lab in his shed after growing a strong passion for science.

    When Charles was 16, he went to Edinburugh to become a doctor following in his brother's footsteps. Soon after, Charles realized he did not believe this job was the best that could be offered. Later, he moved to cambridge to become a vicar by his father. However, he had noticed neither of these fit his future and could not be seen by him.
