  • New Jersey

    New Jersey
My dads side of the family since i was little rented the same house in Lavalette, New jersey every summer and the whole family would go every year for a week. It is the one tradition that we have in my family that we actually kept doing. I look at New Jersey like a second home and the amount of memories I have there makes it a easy place to call home. The morning bike rides with my grandpa to sneaking out at night on to the beach with my sister at night was a routine that I loved to have.
  • Girl Scouts

    Girl Scouts
Girl scouts was a club my parents signed me up for when i was little so i could make friends. At first, I hated the whole idea of it and i never wanted to go. But, after a few meeting and trips with the troop i ended up loving it and i started making a bunch of friends, and I'm still friends with a lot of them today. Even though joining a club doesn't sound like a big milestone, for me it was because it was my first time truly making friends and enjoying something other than school.
  • Shooting Range

    Shooting Range
My dad is a retired cop, so he always used to have a gun. When I was young I would never understand why he would hide it and leave it locked, I was too young to understand the whole concept of it all. So he would always try to educate me on the topic and when i got older, he took me to the shooting range. I was terrified, but I would always have so much fun with my dad. Having a dad that would take me on cool adventures like that was always something I loved and a memory ill always have.
  • Christmas

    Christmas
Christmas is my favorite Holiday. Before my parents separated, we would always make the biggest deal out of Christmas. We would get the biggest tree, have the most decorated house, and have the best time all together. Those fun Christmas's are the best part of my childhood and will always be a fun memory of my family together. When I grow up and have my own family, I'm gonna make the biggest deal out of Christmas just like my parents did.
  • Cousins

    Cousins
My cousins being born was a life changing experience. My dads twin sisters both live in Eastchester and are really successful people, who are both married to the best uncle's ever. They both had difficulties getting pregnant because of the high stress they both constantly had because of work. So when they both finally had kids it was a really beautiful and exciting moment because they were both finally getting what they deserved.
  • Trip to California

    Trip to California
My aunts and uncles were planning a trip to California and they were inviting my sister and me to join them. I was really excited because I've never been to California. Although I was sad my parents couldn't of came, I had the best time. It was a great bonding trip for us. It's also where i found my love for taking pictures. It was beautiful there and I took the best pictures, and ever since then I love taking pictures. This trip led to more amazing trips with my aunts and uncles.
  • Quitting Cheerleading

    Quitting Cheerleading
Normally quitting a sport isn't something to remember, but in my case it was. I did cheer ever since I was little, and my parents loved it. As I entered High school I slowly stopped loving it. My grades were slipping and i was overly stressed. Once I decided I wanted to quit my parents were not happy about it. I still quit because it was my choice, my parents needed to understand that. I didn't regret my choice because my grades went up and i had more time to get a job and make money.
  • Sister leaving for college

    Sister leaving for college
My sister Madison is by far my best friend, so when she decided she was going to college in Rhode Island it was extremely hard for me. I couldn't imagine her not being here all the time and it was something I stressed about for awhile. When it finally came time for her to leave I was not ready, my main fear was that she would go to college and forget about me. Now its almost a year later and we're closer than ever. The distance didn't damage our relationship, if anything it made us stronger.
  • Top of the Empire State Building

Top of the Empire State Building
At the end of my sophomore year, my friends and me said that we would all save up money and before junior year began we would all go to see the top of the empire state building for an end of summer adventure. It was corny but it was fun having something fun to work for. When the day came it was amazing. Being up so high and seeing the whole city was beautiful. It was a fun high school memory that ill always remember.
  • Award

    Award
This year, my Junior year I got an award for tremendous Improvement. Normally this wouldn't be a milestone for people but during my sophomore year I was nowhere close to getting awards for anything. I was having a rough time and My school work was suffering majorly, and my attitude wasn't the best either. After awhile I realized I needed to grow up and stop having excuses for everything. I got my grades up so much and I had a better perspective on everything. Getting recognized felt awesome.
