  • The Split

    After World War II, Korea is split into North and South Korea due to the North being ruled by communism and the South is against it.
  • Stopping Communism

    President Harry Truman from the US had a goal of stopping communism especially from Russia but Russia got a hold of North Korea so Harry Truman must also stop North Korea
  • China joins the Korean War

    Since China also supported communism, they aided the North in pushing back the Us and South to the 38th parallel which is now the border/split of North and South Korea in October.
  • The Beginning of the Korean War

    North Korea invades South Korea in hopes of reigning over it for communism. US aids the South by order from President Harry Truman in order to stop communism from spreading
  • US helps the South

    Due to the fact that North Korea is ruled by communism now, the US decides to send troops to South Korea in order to aid them in stopping communism
  • The Battles

    The US joined the war and is going back and fourth with wins and losses with their battles. The US wins in the Battle of Inchon that happened in September 15th, 1950, which helped push back the North from the capital city in the South.
  • A Big Turning Point

    Due to the US and South victories, they were able to reach North Koreas capital city by an Invasion lead by General Douglas MacArthur
  • Near the End

    Before the war ends, Dwight Eisenhower becomes the new US President and tells everyone that he would end the war that was currently happening in Korea.
  • A Truce

    The Korean War ends with a truce between North and South Korea by making an agreement to stop fighting each other.
  • The End

    The US and Chinese make a date to meet up in which they talked about Korea being united again but the two sides cannot come to an agreement at all and stay divided by the 38th Parallel still to this day.
