    Karl Popper was born in Vienna, Austria.
  • Began his studies

  • Recieved his PhD

    In 1928, he received a PhD in Philosophy. His dissertation, On the Problem of Method in the Psychology of Thinking, dealt primarily with the psychology of thought and discovery.   • Published his first book

    In 1935, Popper published Logik der Forschung (The Logic of Research), his first major work in the philosophy of science.
