Parents Marriage
John's parents, Ray and Carrie had gotten married. He was the 4th out of 7 kids. Johnny's parents were a huge impact on his life, not only because they created him but because they gave him the musical talent and motivation to become the star he is today.(page # 4) -
Johnny was Born
In 1932 cash was brought into the world. He was the 4th out of the 7th child in the family, he was born in Kingsland Arkansas. In the photo provided John is on the far right, here he stands with some siblings and his parents. (page # 5) -
Jacks Death
On this day Johnny's brother Jack had gone into work at the wood shop. Ray (johns father) came to find Johnny he told him that Jack had been in an accident. Jack was cut from his ribs to his groin and wasn't going to live much longer. Jack underwent surgery but died 2 days later, he was just 14. This is an important part in johnnys life because he continues to remember it and is still a sad place in his heart. -
Work Life Before Music
Before Cash had been a musician he had other jobs before that too. The most important Job before he became a radio intercept operator for the United States Air Force and traveled to Germany. While in the military he expanded horizons and did traveling he wanted to do, he also bought his first guitar that was special to him and used through all shows until 1957. He spent 4 years in service. -
1st Marriage
John had gotten married to his first wife Vivian and had 2 children with her. They met before he was shipped out over seas and grew a relationship through communication through letters. During their marriage he got really into pills and it unfortunately ruined their marriage and his relationship with his children. He never did learn his lesson from losing his wife and continued to ruin his life in which he regretted. -
First Single
Johnny's first single "cry cry cry" had come out. He performed this every show that he did, even with Elvis -
2nd marriage
Cash had June Carter had gotten married after he proposed to her on stage in London Ontario. Together they had 1 child (John Cash) together. Cash and Cater had performed for years together until they had gotten married, June was also the one that helped turn Johnny's life around and got him off the pills and alcohol. They were married from the 1968 till 2003 there June died just 3 months before Johnny. He claims she was a life saver and the love of his life. -
The Robbery
Johnny had been robbed at gun point on Christmas Day during their dinner. The robbers wanted 1 million dollars and put a gun against his sons head to get what they wanted. This story was significant because that was the time he felt the most scared because his son was offered to hold a gun by the gun man. It also made him happy to stay in Jamaica, as he walks down streets people give warm greetings and show gratitude for him staying which makes him happy to stay and be involved in the community
