J.K Rowling was born on 31 st July 1965 in South Gloucestershire in England. Her family isn't very big, her parent are Peter James Rowling and Anne. She have a sister too, Dianne, who is about 2 years younger than Joanne. -

She says that teenege years not were happy ones because her mother was ill and she had a tense relationship with her father. -

Her life in Portugal
She left England in 1991 because she got a job as an English Teacher in Portugal, where she met her first husband, Jorge Arantes. They had a child, Jessica. -

Rowling returned to the UK and lived in Edinburgh where she finished her first book. She and her daughter survived thank for state help. -
