n the spring of 1943, he was called to serve in WWII. He trained in different places around the US before shipping off to war. -
Burning Barn
The troops came across a barn full of prisoners and saved as many as they could. -
Coming Back
He came back in 1946 to continue college. -
Korean War
Just as he finished college, he was drafted into the Korean War. Because he was an engineer he was sent to Rocky Mountain Arsenal, just before he was supposed to leave for Korea. -
Wife
In 2015 his wife of 60 years died. -
Death
This is when my grandpa died.
