    the reason for the fall of the roman empire was because of the vast area they didn't have enough troops to cover every spot around border. To many historians, the fall of the Western Roman Empire in the 5th century CE has always been viewed as the end of the ancient world and the onset of the Middle Ages. The size of the Roman Empire made the governing difficult, but the ineffective leadership made the problem even bigger.

    William the Conqueror
