School is one of the largest and most important institution where young people are affected (Pg. 6). Each setting in a school has varying behavior norms and different characteristics. -
Community
Communities can also be referenced as neighborhoods. The neighborhood can influence you because it is where peers often hangout with one another (Pg. 7). Also the economic status, housing quality, and availability of resources can affect how you grow up. -
Media and Technology
Media and technology can affect many teenagers since that it what they use daily. The social learning theory is where teenagers often try to re-enact positive behaviors they see on tv. The cultivation theory suggests that what people see on tv is what supersedes their own perception of the world (Pg. 8). -
Story
I personally have seen many people change who they re just because a celebrity or someone with a large following does it. Many people change who they are so they are more likable. One person I know has seen people doing mean things that are funny to some. So they try to act like this, but in reality they are just putting out negative vibes to everyone and making them seem like a mean person. Thus they have lost a lot of friends for this negativity making a bad image for themselves.
