    First Friendships
After I moved in 2009, I attended a different elementary school, named Sauganash, where I made my first ever friends that I would be able to settle with. There were good and hard times attending this school because from 3rd-8th grade I was bullied almost every year. But, there were many good memories with best friends that overode some of those rough times.

    First phone
I wanted a phone so bad because everyone around me always did. i grew out of the Ipad's and games I wanted to feel older. i was in a rush to grow up and have responsibilities but looking back I wish I took everything slower. It was the first responsibility i had to bear and the first gift I got when I was young. It was a little blackberry flip phone and I thought I was the coolest person alive.

My love sports began when I was allowed to play them in elementary school. In 5th grade I played all sports including soccer, softball, basketball, cheerleading, and volleyball. Sports are my favorite hobby and will forever be. I was awarded certificates and positioned ass captain for all the sports I played in middle school because I was determined and hardworking. Those were the days where my leadership evolved.

    Meeting my Soulmate/Bestfriend
Though elementary school was tough, in 6th grade I met my life long best friend to this day. I think this one of the best days of my life because she helped me through everything and is literally my other half. I have never met someone EXACTLY like me it was 1 in 1000 chance which is still unbelievable to this day.

  • Immigration

    Immigration
My mom left out of the country to get a legal immigration and unfortunately it was planned she would be gone for 2 weeks but it turned out that to be almost 3 years. It was a hard time in my life but she is legal today and returned home. Especially growing up and she wasn't able to see me graduate I would still keep in contact through it all.
  • Graduation

    Graduation
In 2018 I graduated Sauganash. The last week of school is impossible to forget because of the joy I had with the last couple of days with the people I grew up with before we all went our separate ways. It was also one of the most surprising years because I was going to attend taft highschool, which was not planned and I didn't have the best future predictions about.
  • Visiting/leaving country for first time

    Visiting/leaving country for first time
Leaving the country was one of my biggest dreams. As summer was approaching, We had to visit my mom in Jordan and we had to take a 13 hour flight but before going there we stopped for a nigh in Dubai because it was one of my dreams to go. It was the most beautiful city i've ever seen. Life there is just so different but made me feel glad to live in America. Seeing my mom for the first time was crazy. it didn't feel real until we had to leave again it only made things harder.
  • First year of High School

    First year of High School
Before attending Taft, I had the same stereotypes you hear about the school today. Before I even attended high school for the first time I was already considering transferring within the first semester because I knew no one going in and was scared to fit in. PLOT TWIST!! My first year of high school was a DREAM come true. It changed my views and perspectives and taught me so many lessons. i had so many friends and made my favorite sports teams. The best school year of my life if I had to say.

Met my other Lifelong Best friend
On top of the best school year of my life, I met my other best friend Isabella. She transferred to Taft and it was both our first year. We were already drawn to each other through mutual childhood friends. One thing different and we wouldn't have met its a crazy story if I were to tell you. But meeting her changed everything. Braces

Fixing my teeth was one of my biggest insecurities. All my friends always had their braces at an early stage and I wanted to because I didn't want to be older and have them. In November of 2018, freshman year, I got my braces and exactly 2 years later got them removed and it was the most relieving experience.
  • Making my first highschool sports team

Making my first highschool sports team
Sports are a big part of my life. They are my outlet in the rough times of my life. My favorite sport is softball and seeing the girls the first time intimidated me but I knew I had to make the team for future scholarships and to occupy my mind and meet others like me. In March of 2019 was the tryouts and after months of conditioning and hard work I MADE IT! I was so happy to be part of Taft athletics and didn't expect the potential we had. I knew this was the next milestone of my sports career.
  • Losing friendships

    Losing friendships
During my sophomore year, I lost many friendships due to trust issues. This topic wasn't new to me, but it really was an eye opener and helped me develop my true identity and my true friends. This year was a rough year to begin with but I believe everything happens for a reason because this was the year I officially new who I am(identity) and my worth so I didn't let anyone get to me because I used facts over feelings. I also knew my best friends were all I needed.
  • Global Quarantine

    Global Quarantine
The global pandemic that hit us bad in march lead to the cancelation of all in-school periods and sports. It was a time of depression and isolation. It was not only one of the worst times of my life but it also opened my eyes about the people in my life that really care for you and if it all didn't happen I wouldn't have been the person I am today. It changed my whole perspective on life and people. 10 months later and it still isn't the best but I everyone almost fully adapted.
  • Drivers License

    Drivers License
Getting my driver's license was one of my top priorities after sophomore year drivers ed but due to covid the waiting process was not the best. However after 9 months of using a permit I always dreamt about the day I can go pick up my friends and just be free. it was a sign of freedom for me.
