Intro Letter
Voter receives a letter from our field representative telling the voter they've been chosen to participate in a national voter turnout study and that the field rep will be coming to speak with them before the election. -
1st Door Knock
Field representative knocks at voter's door. If the voter isn't home, field rep leaves a sticky note letting the person know they'd stop by to talk about voting and would be back soon. -
2nd Door Knock
The field representative returns a few weeks later if no one was home the first time. When they talk to the voter, the field rep engages them in deep conversation about voting, how it connects to the voter's values, what issues are most important to the voter, etc. The field rep tries to get the voter to verbally commit to vote and complete a Commit to Vote card that would be mailed back to the voter shortly before the election. -
Thank You Postcard
A few days after the field rep and voter conversed, the voter receives a postcard from the field rep thanking them for taking the time to speak. -
3rd Door Knock
The field representative returns to the voter's door, thanks the voter for their commitment to vote, and asks about their plan to vote. Field rep leaves the voter with a magnet outlining the voter's personalized vote plan and answers any other questions about how to vote or the candidates. Field rep sends thank you postcard in following days. -
Commit to Vote card
About a week before Election Day, the voter receives by mail the Commit to Vote card they filled out the first time they spoke to the field rep. -
GOTV Phone Call
Field representative calls voter on the phone, thanks voter for commitment to vote, reaffirms vote plan, and reminds voter that whether or not they vote is public. -
GOTV Text
If field representative has the voter's cell phone number, the field rep texts the voter a reminder to vote on Election Day.
