How did you use media technologies in the construction, research, planning and evaluation stages ?

  • Wix

    Wix
The first digital technology i used was Wix.com which is the website in which i started my blog on. I also used the powerpoint function on Wix for my research. To move through the powerpoint, the viewer must click the arrows on each side of the box.

  • Production Company Logo

    Production Company Logo
I used Microsoft word to edit my logo for my new production company 'The Solstice Films'.
  • Short Film Pitch

    Short Film Pitch
For my short film pitch, i used the Wix Video element of Wix where you can form a channel and upload videos so they're all in the same space, i used this for both my rough cut and my research for my magazine article too.
  • Audience Research

    Audience Research
I used a website called survey monkey to find my audience feedback. Once people have the link they fill out a questionnaire you have written. This was helpful in finding out what my audience want to see.
  • Facebook

    Facebook
I used Facebook (a social media) site to both gain my audience research by sharing my survey and to market my film and gain audience feedback from it. It proved effective as it directly targeted my intended audience.
  • Shotlist

    Shotlist
I used Microsoft excel to create a table too form my shotlist as a table with each of the separate shots planned out, i also used Microsoft Excel to recreate it when i improved it after my rough cut.
  • FinalCut Pro X

    FinalCut Pro X
I used final cut pro X to edit my rough cut and my short film. I found it very effective because it has a lot of useful facilities which was helpful in progressing from the use of iMovie, the diting software we used in Year 1.
  • FreeSound

    FreeSound
I gained royalty free music from FreeSound.org for sound effects such as screaming, sounds of the birds as Grace entered the forest and the bike.
  • Sketchpad5.1

    Sketchpad5.1
I used an online drawing platform to produce the drawing of the camera on the title of my film. It is a freehand drawing platform that i had never previously used. I found it effective in achieving the look i wanted for my titles.
  • YouTube

    YouTube
I distributed my film on my YouTube channel which is effective because while it targets my intended audience in those that subscribe to me, the fact that anyone who can access YouTube can watch it means that it targets many more audiences as well. The fact someone can like and comment also means that feedback can be given. It is also a free distribution sight which is effective when having a low budget.
  • Microsoft Powerpoint

    Microsoft Powerpoint
In my research for my magazine article i used a powerpoint presentation to pan through all my research points, i also used final cut pro x again to edit all the slides together and to record the voiceover.
  • Infinity Photo

    Inifinity Designer
I used infinity designer to produce my final magazine article ancillary text. I found it effective in producing the look and style i wanted for my article.
  • Canva

    Canva
For evaluation question 2, i used an online mind map creator platform called Canva. Whilst i found the free version limiting in resources, thought my answer was effective and clear.
  • TimeToast

    TimeToast
This is the online timeline platform i am using to answer this evaluation question, question 4. I think it if effective in answering this question because you can clearly see the range of digital technologies i have used and the time frame in which i have used them in.
