Connection- This movie kind of reminded me of back to the future with the time traveling
Choice- My favorite part of the movie was the end when they were on stage and all the historical told their story -

purpose- This movie takes you on an adventure with Khan and shows how he became a strong and powerful leader.
Fact Check- Genhis Khan died on the 18th of August in 1227, and was known to be a powerful and ruthless leader
Rating- I would rate this moive 5 out of 5
Connection- Justin calls me mongolia and I think of my mother as my powerful leader and I look up to her.

Pupose- In this movie, they try to make an image of Columbus's journey and all he was suppose to accomplish.
Fact Check- The movie wasn't accurate and Columbus isn't truly protrayed the way he should be. He also never landed on Amercia's "Main Land".
Rating- I would rate this movie a 3 out of 5
Connection- As a kid i was taught in school that columbus discovered Amercia but that's far from true.

Oliver Twist
Purpose- This movie is based off the book written by Charles Dickens, that enters the time zone of an orphan in London and his hard times
Fact Check- Child labor was brutal during the 1800's and most worked for 16hr. in poor conditions
Rating- I would rate it 5 out of 5
Conection-Child labors was also a probelm in the US

12 Years of Slave
Purpose- This movie was based off a true story about an African Amercian man who was sold into Slavery.
Fact Check- Solomon was a free man who was tricked and kidnapped into Slavery.
Rating- I would rate this movie a 5 it was excellent
Connection- This movie reminded me of the movie Harriet Tubman how it showed the pain and hardship they went through

Lincoln
Pupose- In this movie it recaptures the moments leading up to the 13th amendment and how Lincoln stood up for what he beileved.
Fact Check- The 13 amendment votes were 119 to 56 which is much more the 2/3 of the majority.
Rating - I would rate this movie a 2
Connection- President Lincoln and President Kenndy was assinanted.

Purpose- This movie show just how Martin Luther King Jr. inspired and brought out the best in people and how he was able to make a difference.
Fact check- martin Luther birth name was actually Michael

Connection- I'm an African American woman and it's because of people like Martin Luther King Jr. that I have the opportunities I have now.

Rescue Dawn
Purpose- In this movie it captures numerous events of the Vietnam war as it's in the eyes of an American prisoner.
Fact Check- The war was between south Vietnam and North Vietnam, multiply countries intervened

Mandela: the long walk to freedom
Purpose- In this movie you get a great view of Nelson Mandela life and what events took place to get equality for his people in his country
Fact Check- Nelson Mandela was married twice and he had a son and two daughters.
Rating- 4
Connection- Nelson Mandela reminds me of Martian Luther King because they both wanted peace not violence.

The Butler
Purpose- This movie revolves around a man who works as a butler in the white house during segregation and how the new world started to being with all the different Presidents.
Fact Check- The character Cecil Gains is based off of Eugene Allen first enter the white house as a pantry worker before he became a butler.
Rating- 5 (Stupendous)
Connection- At the end of the movie he meets Presdent Obama and I always wanted to meet him because he made history
