Dad moved to Guam
He finished air crew schooling in 1982 and was shipped out to Guam. He was stationed there for three years and flew missions out of Japan, Korea and the Philippines. He was scheduled to fly with the mastermind of Pearl Harbor in 1984. Got out of the Navy in 1985 and remained on the island for nearly a year as a civilian. -

The Yellowstone fires of 1988 began mid-summer and finally extinguished themselves with the snowfall in November. The region was experiencing a major drought at the time, so when a human-made and lightning fire collided, the situation was made much worse. The worst day was August 20, known as "Black Saturday". 25,000 firefighters helped at the scene from around the country throughout the fires. -
Mom graduates from Michigan State
My mom started at Michigan State in September, 1985. She graduated with a bachelors degree in civil engineering in December, 1990. She had a great experience, and met many great friends. -

A 1,200 pound bomb is placed in a van and drove into the parking garage beneth the World Trade Center by terrorists in late Febuary, 1993. Taking out several steel-enforced concrete floors, killing 6 and injuring 1,000 other people, the plan didn't succed in it's original plan of bringing down the WTC. -
Parents get married
Parents met in Lexington, MI where my dad lived and my mom's family had a cottage in May of 1991. They married three years later, on June 11th, 1994. -

I was born at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. Arriving at the hospital at 9 in the morning, i was born at 9:29 AM. -

My mom was transfered from Ford Livonia Transmission Plant to Ford Romeo Engine Plant. We moved from Royal Oak to Washington Township. -
Hainan Island incident
Hainan Island
Chinese fighters collided with an American EP-3, resulting in a fighter going down, while the EP-3 was forced to make an emergency landing in Hainan Island, part of China, where the crew members were interrogated until the US could exchange some information. My dad flew on this same plane, though, not at the time of the collision.
