    Connection: Bill and Ted reminds me of a book series I used to read about three friends who traveled through time and visited historical figures and places, the book series was Time Warp Trio

    Fact Check: The movie is hard to rate on a scale of accuracy, we know that Borte was kidnapped by the Tatars, we know that his father was poisoned, we know that he in fact did leave the monastery standing, but as a whole no real information, details, or basically anything is known for fact

    Connection: Reminded of Genghis in Night at The Museum

    Fact Check: The film was cluttered with inaccuracies, this includes made up villains (Adrian de Moxica), false motives (why Columbus set sail) and characterizations, and excluded information.

    Rating: 1 and a half stars
    Connection: It is hard to watch a film with the name 1492 and not remember elementary school and the 1492 song

    The film avoids any specific historical details, though it does show the setting and time period pretty well, including the legal system.
    Fact Check: The movie accurately showcases the overall timeframe pretty well, there aren’t any major dates or significant figures in the film, but it does well in showing the social classes of the time, an example being how common people see Oliver.

    Connection: I actually said the "more please" line a lot as a child, recently learned its origin

    12 Years A Slave is a difficult film to watch as it speaks to how disgusting our country could be in the 1800s, as it follows the journey of wrongly slaved freeman, Solomon Northup
    Fact Check: Was mostly accurate besides changes made to add drama. They also took away one of Solomon’s kids from the film and stated the two in the beginning as the kidnappers but in reality it was never known for sure
    Rating: 4.5
    Connection: Visits to Greenfield Village had given me an idea of a slaves living life

    Lincoln is a film that depicts what it took for Lincoln to get the thirteenth amendment passed by congress, and the opinions and views of the people of the time.
    Fact Check: Lincoln is extremely accurate, it features very little in terms of historical mistakes besides those done for dramatic purposes. ‘Mary Todd Lincoln (Sally Fields) would never have watched the final voting from the House gallery.

    Connection: I am reminded of my trip to Washington D.C.

    Fact Check: Almost everything in the film was correct, besides the President's portrayal as people said he was much kinder to King.

    Connection: Once more on my trip to D.C. I was able to stand on the steps where he gave the infamous 'I have a dream' speech, and this film reminded me about it.
