  • John Dalton

    John Dalton
    • Dalton was born in 1766 and died in 1844 at the age of 77.
    • So basically if it wasn’t for John Dalton to look into what he was discovering we probably wouldn’t be having chemistry today because it may not of existed.
    • John Dalton discovered that there was a point where the matter couldn’t be broken down into small things so he used a term called atom to describe the tiny little particles.
  • Michael Faraday

    Michael Faraday
    • Michael Faraday was born the 22nd of September 1791 and he died on the 25th of August 1867. • Michael Faraday’s discovery was not accepted for a while because of his physics was it had been nonmathematical. • Michael Faraday studied the effect of the electricity on the solutions, which the coin term electrolysis as an splitting of the molecules with the electricity that develops laws of the electrolysis.
  • James Clerk Maxwell

    James Clerk Maxwell
    • James Clerk Maxwell was born on the 13th of June 1831 and had died on the 5th of November 1879. • James Clerk Maxwell theory that he had discovered was electromagnetism.
  • Dmitri Mendeleev

    Dmitri Mendeleev
    • Dmitri was born on the 8th of February 1868 and died on the 19th of December 1953.
    • He was eppointed on the Nobel committee for chemistry recommended for the Nobel prize in Sweden for the discovery of the periodic system.
    • He has been known for inventing the periodic table of chemical elements, giving the principles of chemistry.
    • Properties of the elements that were described in both atomic weights and valence were petroleum, which now we know the chemicals properties & weightalmost same
  • Henri Becquerel

    Henri Becquerel
    • Henri Becquerel was born on the 15th of December in 1852 and died in 1908 on the 25th of August.
    • Henri was awarded half the nobel prize for physics in 1903 in his findings that were published in the paperseg.'
    • His discovery spontaneous radioactivity and he showed the rays emitted by Uranium.
    • Uranium salts that he used showed when he placed near to a photographic plate covered with an opaque paper the plate was discovered to be fogged.
  • Joseph John Thomson

    Joseph John Thomson
    • Thomson was born in 1856 in December on 18th and died in 1940 in August on the 30th. • Thomson got awarded a Nobel prize in 1906 in Physics for his discovery of electron and also for his work for conduction of the electricity in the gases.
  • Max Planck

    • Max Planck was born on the 23rd of April in 1858 and died on the 4th of October 1947.
    • His work was published in the Annalen der physic and also summarised in two books- Thermodynamics 1897 & Theory of heat radiation 1906.
    • He was able to deduce the relationship between energy and the frequency of the radiation based on the idea that energy emitted a resonator could only take a discrete values or quanta.
    • It’s the explanation of the photoelectric effect.
  • R. A . Millikan

    R. A . Millikan
    • Born on the 22nd of March 1868 he dead on the 19th of December 1953.
    • He became a fellow in physics at Columbia Uni after obtaining his masters in physics then his Ph. D for a research on the populization of light of light emitted by incandescent surfaces using this purpose for molten gold & silver at the U.S.
    • He is noted for many discoveries but manly for the field of electricity, optics and molecular physics, which demonstrates the atomic structure of electricity.
  • Ernest Rutherford

    Ernest Rutherford
    • Ernest Rutherford was born 1871 on August 30th and died in 1937 on October the 19th. • Rutherford discovered in his early work the concept of the radioactive and proved that the radioactivity involved the transmutation on the chemical elements to one another which, also differentiated and also named alpha and beta radiation.
  • Albert Einstein

    Albert Einstein
    • Albert Einstein was born on the 14th of March 1879 and he died on the 18th of April 1995.
    • Albert Einstein’s discovery today now effects us with our phones, cameras all our modern technology etc.
    • Albert Einstein’s discovery was the mass of the energy equivalence example, e = mc2 which means the energy mass which is multiplied by the speed of the light squared. Albert Einstein’s formula had led to atomic bombs and the nuclear power.

Albert Einstein had proved us about how the atoms existed
  • Hans Geiger

    Hans Geiger
    • Hans was born on the 30th of September 1882 and he died on the 24th of September 1945.
    • In 1912 he became the leader of the physical- Technical Reichstag salt in berlin, 1925 professor in kiel, 1929 in Tubingen and from 1936 in berlin and a member of the uranium club.
    • Noted for discovering the Geiger- Nuttal law with collegue John Mitchell Nuttall & performed experiments that led to Rutherfords atomic model.
    • His best known for the atomic nucleus that was discovered.

    Neil Bohr
    • Bohr was born in 1885 in October on 7th and died in 1962 in November on the 18th. • Bohr did some research on atomic nuclei and on their transmutations and disintegrations.
    • In the 1936 Bohr had pointed out that in the nuclear processes the smallness of the region which that interactions, and also the strengths of all the interactions that’s transition processes that can describe more in the classical way in those cases of the atoms.’
  • Werner Heisenberg

    Werner Heisenberg
    • Werner Heisenberg was born on the 5th of December 1901 and died on the 1st of February 1976. • Werner Heisenberg had been involved in trying to develop an mathematical system which explained the atoms. He had also got this help from Max Born and Niels Bohr. He got to present this system in 19925 which was called matrix mechanics. And was the beginning of the quantum mechanics.
