    Netflix created/released. Now a very popular streaming service, before it was a streaming service, people use to get their content from Netflix via DVDs delivered in the mail.
  • DeviantArt

    DeviantArt released. DeviantArt is a place where people can upload, share, comment and like different kinds of artworks, literature, and blog posts.
  • LinkedIn

    A website used to connect and create professional relationships, find jobs, and connect to people.
  • Skype

    One of the first programs that allowed people to video chat with one another via webcam.
  • MySpace

    One of the first Social Media sites that people could connect to one another. It was the first Facebook.
  • Facebook

    Very similar to MySpace, but would outlast and eventually cause MySpace to slowly disappear.
  • YouTube

    A place where people could upload, share, and like video content created by people.
  • Reddit

    Similar to Youtube, but instead of just uploading videos, people could also upload photos to various categories where people could then like or dislike.
  • Twitter

    Now a popular social media site,Twitter is a place where people can connect/follow others, share thoughts, opinions, pictures, etc. People can like, retweet, and comment on the content that is uploaded.
  • Tumblr

    Tumblr released. People are able to upload videos, posts, and photos, and people are able to like, and comment on the content that is uploaded.
  • Facebook Chat Released

    People on Facebook are now able to chat with their friends if they are online at the same time.
  • WhatsApp

    A messaging app that allows people to text and video call one another.
  • Pinterest

    People are able to save and pin ideas, pictures, and other content. People are able to create boards and save the ideas that they find to those boards.
  • Facetime

    Similar to Skype and WhatsApp. People are able to video call their friends and family, on Apple devices (not including the cellphone).
  • Instagram

    People are able to upload content, people can follow creators that they like, and people are able to like and comment on the content that is uploaded
  • Twitch

    People are able to stream themselves live playing video games. People can interact with who they are watching in real time by giving bits, subscribing and re-subscribing.
  • Snapchat

    People are able to connect with one another and share pictures and videos to their story, that says uploaded only for 24hrs
  • Facebook Messenger

    Facebook Chat is Upgraded to Facebook Messenger. People are still able to chat with their Facebook friends, but now they can video chat with their friends.
  • TikTok

    Very similar to Vine, but doesn't take off until 2017. People are able to upload short videos, people can also like share and comment on the content that is uploaded.
  • FaceTime(cellular version)

    Apple releases FaceTime for cellular devices.
  • Vine

    People are able to upload 6 second video content. People can like and comment on the content that is uploaded.
  • Discord

    Like Skype, but so much better. People can chat one on one, or in big groups via text or call.
