    Guy Fawkes attempts to blow up the Houses of Parliament. The 5th of November is still celebrated in memory of that event.

    The Suffragettes storm Westminster
    15 suffragettes make it to the lobby of the Houses of Parliament on February 13, 1907, where they passionately protest for women’s right to vote. Over 60 women get arrested.

    WWII: Nazi Germany bombs against Britain for eight months. The raids kill 43,000 civilians.
  • Terrorist attack

    July 2005: four bombs explode on London’s transport systems. The city is thrown into mass panic and confusion as all four suicide bombers are of British origin. London gets into the high terrorist alert status it still holds today.
