    The Kodak Camera was invented by George Eastman. It was a simple box camera that was affordable. It was able to capture 100 shots before you had to send it back an get it replaced.

    A British Inventor by the name of William Friese Greene developed the first moving pictures. He did this by using celluloid film. After creating this, he patented the process and would influence later generations with his invention.

    This camera was made by the Eastman Kodak company and invented by Frank A. Brownell. It was really cheap as it only cost $1. It introduced snapshots to the masses.

    Major motion picture companies start making their way from New York, to Los Angeles to set up. These companies did so to avoid Thomas Edison's rampage of law suits. Los Angeles quickly became the hotspot for film.

    In the early 1930s, talkies became more and more popular. Talkies are films that contain sound which was a big step in this time. Talkies originally began as short films but later expanded into entire movies.

    Technicolor is used for the first time in film in 1940. Paramount Studios is able to successfully pull this feat off. However due to the pricey cost of color, a majority of films in the 40's are black and white.

    TV was invented during this time and brought competition to film companies. Film companies came up with new methods to try to reel in viewers again. One of these methods is the invention of 3-D films which was groundbreaking at the time.
