    The North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, which was a regional accreditor within the United States' HIgher Learning Commission, accredits Joliet Junior College.

    Phoenix Junior College in Arizona
    In 1920, Phoenix, Arizona also took the extended high school approach to college, by joining the educational forces of Phoenix Union HIgh School and the Junior College District.     AZ HB238 Bill Passed
    HB238 was a bill introduced and approved in the Arizona legislature that increased state aid to Phoenix Junior College and Eastern Arizona Junior College from $100,000 annually, to $150,000 annually (pending requirements were met).
