    Apple's Website Apple was founded in 1976 by Steve Jobs, Steve Woznaik, and Ronald Wayne. They sold the Apple 1 personal computer kit. It had no keyboard, and was priced at $2572 in today's money. The kit shown has had a case and keyboard added to it.

    In 1984, Apple released the Macintosh. The first commercial for it aired during Superbowl XVIII. However the competition between different sections of Apple led to Steve Jobs leaving the corperation, and found NeXT Inc.

However, after trying to expand into other products such as cameras, speakers and T.V. appliances, Apple consumers became upset, and Apple's stock prices and market shares began to fall.During this time, Jobs rejoined Apple.
