Phenakistoscope
The phénakisticope was the first widespread animation device that created a fluent illusion of motion. The phénakisticope is regarded as one of the first forms of moving media entertainment that paved the way for the future motion picture and film industry.[1] It can be compared to a GIF animation as it has a short duration and plays as a loop until the viewer stops it. -

Praxinoscope
The praxinoscope improved on the zoetrope by replacing its narrow viewing slits with an inner circle of mirrors, placed so that the reflections of the pictures appeared more or less stationary in position as the wheel turned. Someone looking in the mirrors would therefore see a rapid succession of images producing the illusion of motion, with a brighter and less distorted picture than the zoetrope offered. -

Toy Story was the first computer animated feature film. every blade of grass and every detail had to be created. the films creation process was extremely tedious and the characters had to have 3d clay models for the creators to be able to implement an accurate design into the film. To sync the voice actors voices and facial expressions with the character the team spent a week per 8 seconds of animation. The film earned over 373 million dollars worldwide. -
