    In Plessy V. Ferguson, the U.S. Supreme Court decided that the law is that "Separate but Equal" is constitutional. This is the law that said providing a legal justification to socially and physically separate African Americans from white in Schools and Society.
  • Brown V. Board of Education

    Brown V. Board of Education
    In 1954 the United States Supreme Court decided that "separate but equal" was "inherently unequal." Due to this care it made school integrated and make it that African American kids and white kids would go to the same schools. This was very controversial in southern states.
  • Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965

It came about as a reauthorization of earlier legislation aimed at providing federal aid to public schools.
