    The Horse Race
    A man named Edwaerd Muybridge was at a horse race, and made a bet with all of his friends. The bet was that when a horse is going full speed, at one point all of it's hooves will be off the ground and the bet was for $25,000. To determine if Muybridge was right, they set up cameras to make sure they can prove who won the bet, which Muybridege did.

    After cinematography was made, small theatres called Vaudevilles opened which costed a nickel to get into. Since they charged a nickel to get in, they decided to name it Nickelodeon. When the theater was brand new they had performers to entertain people, but soon they started to play films.

    The Kinetoscope was invented by Thomas Edison, and started the Kinetoscope Parlors. The kinetoscope is by defintion, an early motion-picture device in which the images were viewed through a peephole. Only one person could view it at a time, and it costed 10 cents to watch.

    Rin Tin Tin was the very first canine star on film, and soon after the film was shot he went on to appear in 27 more films. Rin Tin Tin ( also known as "Rinty") was also the first canine to have their own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Rinty lived from September 1918 to August 1932.'

    20th Century Fox is located just west of Beverly Hills, and is famous for their Star Wars trilogies, and the Titanic movie. The founders are Joseph M. Shenck and Darryl F. Zanuck. It had a large theater chain, and a first rate studio company.
